About

THE FOUNDER, Paul Gibson worked in media since the age of 15 after giving up much of his spare time to work for the local newspaper - unpaid! After discovering his love for journalism he started his schools first magazines which still run to this day a massive sixteen years later. It was the platform for a small business and Paul got the school magazine making money from day one and eventually completing a City and Guilds qualification in media studies.

During his college time he worked in a local classified newspaper company and volunteered for various local radio stations to gain valuable experience into the media industry and gaining valuable air time on the stations. All this experience eventually led to a full-time position at Sovereign Radio in East Sussex and gave him the role of show producer and news reporter before deciding to go Freelance. He worked for companies such as Capital Radio, ITN and completed various assignments for BBC Radio.

He always had the dream of becoming self-employed and developing his own publication. This dream got a little closer when he launched Motoring Today which he developed while he worked for a multimillion pound publishing company in Sussex much to the company’s disgust. The popular website made Paul more determined to work within the motoring industry and continued to battle with the company to develop the weekly motoring publication he worked for. Little did he know that just three years later that very publication threatened him with legal action when he tried to put that dream into reality - he won! This publication is now included within the many plans Today Publishing has over the coming years.

He changed his career pattern in 2002 and became a chauffeur to develop his knowledge of luxury cars. This was a move which would see the launch of The Chauffeur magazine just 18 months later which is now the industries leading publication. The magazine began when he worked from his home in Eastbourne, and slowly moved west to be nearer the main road routes and become more mobile to promote the publication. In 2004 the magazine was awarded the most 'innovative start-up business' award which highlighted the magazine from thousands of other businesses.

This is where the company decided to grow yet again and form Today Publishing Limited which now has a large team working on its current two publications which is soon to double. In its state-of-the-art office in Shoreham, West Sussex, the team works hard to keep The Chauffeur magazine ahead of any competitor and is respected and supported from the biggest limousines manufacturers around the world.

Now, Today Publishing produces two main titles and is the sister company to Today Events Limited, which launched a industry leading trade event – Chauffeur Drive 07. the company can also boast The Chauffeur QSI Awards to be held in November 2007.
